We are thrilled to announce that our Founding Director, Gavin Smith, has been welcomed to the Board of Directors for the British Damage Management Association (BDMA). This exciting development, confirmed last week, marks a significant milestone for Vinci Response and further reinforces our commitment to excellence in the damage restoration industry.
Alongside Gavin, we also extend our congratulations to Willie Keane, Director and Chartered Engineer at Niall Keely & Associates, who has also been appointed to the BDMA Board. Willie’s extensive expertise in property damage assessment and construction defect investigations makes him a fantastic addition to the team.
Gavin’s Journey in Damage Restoration
Gavin began his career in the damage restoration industry back in 1999 as a trainee field technician, learning the essential skills of assessing and restoring peril-damaged properties. Through years of dedication and continuous professional development, he gained BDMA accreditation and later founded Vinci Response in 2019, which has since grown into a nationally recognised restoration and specialist cleaning company with two operational depots.
On his appointment to the BDMA Board, Gavin shared the following:
“I am incredibly honoured to join the BDMA Board of Directors and to contribute to the ongoing development and recognition of the damage management industry. The BDMA plays a crucial role in setting professional standards, supporting practitioners, and ensuring the highest levels of service and expertise within our field. At Vinci Response, we are dedicated to delivering top-tier restoration services, and I look forward to working alongside industry professionals to drive further advancements that benefit both businesses and customers alike.”
